六月太多重要歷史事件發生，以致六月上中旬也較忙，交稿懶左。

上次應承左大家會分享一篇Written Essay 既拙作，多多指教。
先看看題目

 'Computer technology has had more of a negative than a positive impact on society

How far do you agree with this statement? Support your views with reasons

and/or examples from your own experience.

解下題，題目係關於電腦科技。題目前設左電腦科技係弊多於利。
然後就問你有多認同呢個觀點。
上次討論過PTE WE 呢款設題方式，你既短文係需要討論正面影響(positive impact) 和負面影響(negative impact)。
至於how far do you agree則是要求作出表態。可以係好同意，少少同意，但亦都可以係好唔同意，少少唔同意。
另一個重點係 Support your views with reasons/ experience。短文既重心其實係闡述同解釋正反兩面既論據。預備寫作既幾分鐘內，想想自己心目中正方理據強或是反方理據強，作出相應鋪排。
不過要注意，不論你立場如何傾向一面，行文時也要充份討論正面和反面論據。

好喇，講左咁多，係時候交文喇:

Computer is an advancing field of human technology in the past decades and it introduced much changes into our society. There are concerns that computers will destroy social structure and one day replace human. However, substantial economic growth is attributable to computer technology.

Extermination of the human race by computers is the constant theme of science fiction and some experts worry that the emergence of intelligent computer is realising the prophecy. To a lesser extent, automation has replaced a lot of manual jobs, leading to close down of physical shops and unemployment in blue collar occupation. Another concern is cyber security. There are incidents where private personal information are made public in computer systems and uploaded to the internet. Devastating effect on the financial or familial aspect of the victims can be resulted.

 

On the other hand, computers brings great convenience to our life. With the availability of internet, we can save our time on attending banks or browsing through streets of shops. Computer systems are in general very reliable and do not commit careless mistakes that is unavoidable in human, especially in tedious tasks. Smart devices like smartphones also boost our productivity and enable us to handle personal or business tasks off site. The advent of information technology creates a new set of high end information technology job opportunities. Companies in information technology such as Apple, Facebook and Google are now the most valuable and profitable companies in the world. The economic contribution of computers are paramount.

 

Like all technological advances there are initial drawbacks. As humans, we adapt and regulate it. With regulation on artificial intelligence and cyber security, computers can assist human beings to complete manual jobs, leaving us more opportunities in high-end work. Thus, computer has more positive impacts on our society overall.
